Lucie Rie bowl, 1990
A new exhibition of work by one of the most significant potters of the 20th century features more than 100 works – from buttons (made during the war, when she was unable to secure a license to make pots) to functional kitchenware, bowls and vases.
There is a strong connection with Kettle’s Yard; Jim Ede acquired four of Luci Rie’s bowls in the early 1970s.
